Brief Descriptions and Market Potentials METAL POLYMER BLENDS FOR EMI SHIELDING Princeton polymer Laboratories is the world Patent holder of the MELDYMER technology. This technology employs a series of metal polymer blends used for electromagnetic interference shielding, as well as for sealant and gasket work in high temperature environments. The United States Air Force sponsored an SBIR Grant (Small Business Innovation Research) on this subject, whereby we developed polymeric seals for rocket engines. World opportunities exist in the computer and electronic packaging markets as well as in military and aircraft areas. A conservative estimate for the world potential for these polymers is $18-25 million per year. |
